Our Senior Warden, Stephen Thomas, accompanied by his consort Mrs Judy Marchant, was delighted to welcome fellow Lightmongers and their guests to his reception and dinner at Trinity House.

Trinity House, this wonderful Guild fraternity created by Henry 8th in 1514 to serve mariners, has been such a part of our nation’s history, the City of London and the River Thames. The building, built 220 years ago, has played host to Royalty, Prime Ministers,

Mariners and Scientists from all around the world and was a wonderfully fitting venue for our Lightmongers Reception.

Stephen’s guests for the evening were the Master Cook, Mark Grove and his consort and the Master elect of Cripplegate Ward Club, Mary Nurse.

During the evening the attendees were entertained by the fantastic harmonies of Warbles and Baubles with their diverse selection of music. Members joined in the singing and their rendition of the Beatles song Hey Jude echoed around the hall with our Master and Wardens in fine voice.
