The Company’s second Armed Services affiliation is with the Royal Navy and commenced in 1997 with HMS Invincible and transferred in 2005 to HMS Illustrious; both Aircraft Carriers of the Invincible class.

As the backbone of the British surface fleet HMS Illustrious is the very visible expression of the UK’s determination to play its part in keeping peace and order worldwide, supporting at varying times UN, European or UK policy and HMS Illustrious has recently returned from an extensive refit. The Lightmongers presented the ship with two projector systems to enable images to be projected when in port whether at home or abroad, as shown in the ships logo projected in the right hand picture.
